My Story

The journey matters most, not the destination.

My favorite quote holds true in everyday life as well as in design. It’s how you live your life, its the process you go through to get that big idea, its the day-to-day details that matter the most.

Design is ingrained in every part of my life; it’s who I am and what I do. I love being around like-minded creatives, inspiring others and pushing beyond the obvious. I’m obsessed with design thinking, never leave home without my sketchbook and I’ve been told I ask a lot of questions.

When I’m not glued to my Mac, I can be found at Panera with a caramel latte and design magazine in hand, running a race, surfing a local break or out enjoying the day with other half Nick and our four-legged kid, Cody.

By the numbers

  • 3 Moleskines in my bag.
  • 8 number of Moleskines I’ve filled up in the last 2 years.
  • 16 average miles I run per week (should be more).
  • 3 cups of joe a day (should be less).
  • 1 number of times I meet my dad and sisters a week for dinner.
  • 144 months I’ve been with my other half, Nick (he is my rock).
  • 13 age of our four-legged kid, Cody (we’ve had him since he was a pup and his nickname is Bubba Wubbas).
  • 9 surfboards in our house.
  • 8 number of my paintings hanging in our house.
  • 5 number of motors I’ve helped swap out of old cars.
  • 86 year my Camaro was made.

My mentor

A special thanks to Chad Jarae, killer lifestyle photographer, brand guru and creative junkie. I would not be where I am today without him. You can check his work out at http://www.chadjarae.com. The background images for this site were captured by him.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your stay. :)
